Found some good margaritas, some majitos, too. Sunsets weren't bad (though cold weather sure seems to be trailing me everywhere). Even escaped mega-Disney one night to Rice Paper, good, kinda divey Vietnamese / Thai food, not a tourist in sight.
And got to train & usher 31 exceptionally bright and skilled people through four days of management stuff. Which inspires me. Next few days I attended our annual conference and hung out with friends old & new. Howard Dean, Malcolm Gladwell, the new director of the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency were keynotes. And I talked awhile to the inspiring author of The Horse Boy, who previewed his film.
As sad as a few moments felt, missing my friend, mostly I feel so incredibly lucky. Just really loving & appreciating my life.
