I'm working on it. I'm the type of person who ultimately has no patience for my own neuroses & shit. Admittedly, it takes me awhile to nail down what exactly is going on. But then I go after it with seemingly reckless (but actually pretty equally-neurotic precise) abandon.
Today it was Body Talk with local practitioner Susan Barham at the Sanctuary. Body Talk is an energy healing system that gets at what ails you in one of the simplest, non-invasive, you-can-actually-just-fall-asleep kind of way. And Susan's great at it. For those unfamiliar with energy work, the process seems rather loopy -- she moves my wrist around (applied kinesiology) and then taps on my head. For real.
And suddenly I feel better. Everything from residual physical pain from my back surgery a couple of years ago to my current desire to get rid of emotional claustrophobia. Thing is about energy medicine, the more effective it is the less you even remember any of the pain, symptoms, or conditions that brought you there in the first place. It feels like nothing happened 'cause you can't even remember what bothered you. Healing for something you don't remember ever having. Really effective for health, but a total marketing disaster ...
Anyway, next several days I'll try my best to explain the overall in's & out's of energy medicine and my total dedication to it. For now, though, I'm gonna enjoy my dear husband's company (not to mention the 3 dogs & Sweet Boy all piled up in our room quaking from the vicious thunder & lightening storms ravaging my poor petunias).
