There's the straight bio: raised a preacher's kid in NY, honors student in Las Vegas, college & grad school in Santa Barbara, past twenty years in the Carolinas.

A career helping public & non-profit agencies improve what they do. With lots of writing on the side. Now I'm mostly tucked up in the Appalachians with my husband, my daughter, his son, 3 dogs, and a mind-bending number of mismatched socks.

And the not so straight add-on's: a history life-times long searching for meaning and purpose and a really warm laugh. Making up the rules as I go so the first two grow richer and I have more of the last.
